I took a complete shelter workshop at House Alive in Oregon that proved to have a transformative impact on my life. It took many hands and feet to build this cob / strawbale cabin. Cob is a mixture of sand, clay, and straw. This lovely cabin we call Luna has earthen walls, floors, plasters, and paintings. I am so honored to have been a part of her creation. This slideshow will give you an idea of the process.
With our hands in the earth, our spirits come alive as we reconnect to materials humans have used for thousands of years.
