Columbine is a short-lived perennial that re-seeds prolifically, growing in full sun to part shade and preferring moist, well-drained soil. Blooms from mid-spring to early summer. Easy to propagate by seed. Collect the seeds when the the seed heads are dry and papery and the seeds are black. Store seeds in a cool, dry place and pre-chill for three days before germination. Seeds need light to germinate. Direct sow outdoors in fall or spring. Share with your friends!
